Fall Fantle

Get it? Fake + mantle= fantle! (oh, the woes of renting...)
First off, I'd like to introduce to you my new lova'. Truly. If I could cheat on Spencer with a star, it would be this one. I may be wrong, (and if I am someone tell me and I will erase this sentence!) but I think I may have birthed a new project to do with burlap!! YIPEE!!
Horrible picture, I know, but I do not claim to have talents with a camera.
All I did was mod podge a piece of burlap on a rusty thrift store star that I got for $1, trim it with twine and a glue gun, and wrap a brown satin ribbon around it. Since I already had all the supplies from a previous project, I only spent $1 for this cuteness!!

And here it is on my Fall fantle! I already have plans to tweak a few things up there, and I definitely have plans to fill the picture frame, but for now it's done and I'm basically happy!

Oh dear. Your fall fantle is much cuter than my mantle...It may have to do with that darling star :) Love it!
